Self-employed - ZZP
The role requires an autonomous, experienced Pipefitter capable of independently executing complex piping modifications, mechanical isolations, and structural dismantling from day one.
The Pipefitter will read and work directly from P&IDs and isometric drawings to plan field routing, take accurate spool measurements, cut/bevel carbon and stainless steel, and perform precision fit-ups with code-compliant tack welds. Duties include executing safe line-breaking and LOTO protocols (blinding, spading, purging), zero-strain equipment tie-ins to pumps and exchangers, installing thermal pipe supports, and setting up overhead rigging for spool removal.
Additionally, the Pipefitter will handle flange management using calibrated torque sequences, set up hydrostatic/pneumatic test loops, and resolve final punch-list items for system handover without direct supervision. Valid VCA/safety certification and total independence in blueprint reading and pipe fabrication are required.
Client is an international market leader in technical services which help customers realize and accelerate the three major transitions: energy, digital, and industrial. In the Netherlands, they do this with 6,000 employees across 29 locations.
Certifications: Valid VCA certificate.
Blueprints: Proficient in reading P&IDs and isometric drawings.
Piping: Skilled in measuring, cutting, beveling, and fitting/tack-welding carbon and stainless steel independently.
Safety & Operations: Proficient in LOTO procedures, zero-strain tie-ins, thermal supports, overhead rigging, torque sequencing, and hydro/pneumatic testing.
