For our client, a foodfactory the north Netherlands there is a project nearing the end. The cables are pulled and now they will be connected to the control cabinets and motors. The industrial electrician’s duties necessary – from interpreting technical schemes, mechanical work and connecting various electrical appliances in the foodfactory.

In the Netherlands, Equans works on projects related to the energy transition, sustainability, and smart buildings, for example by installing solar panels, heat pumps, charging infrastructure, and industrial automation. The company originated from the technical division of ENGIE and has locations throughout the country.
The industrial electrician at Equans working on a new factory construction project is responsible for installing, connecting, and testing electrical systems in an industrial environment. The tasks may vary per project but typically include:
Wiring and connecting motors, sensors, distribution panels, and control cabinets.
Installing cable trays, conduits, and wiring systems according to technical drawings.
Connecting PLC controls and other automation components.
Inspecting and testing installations for safety and functionality.
Collaborating with mechanical technicians and engineers to get systems operational.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues during commissioning.
In short, the industrial electrician ensures that all electrical systems in the new factory operate safely and reliably, from the construction phase through to final delivery.
