As a Tig welder at our client you are responsible for welding aluminium piping systems on board luxury yachts. The work mainly involves TIG welding (process 141) of aluminium pipes with wall thicknesses ranging from approximately 5 to 10 mm and diameter Ø 50×5 to Ø 90×5 Ø and 70×10 to Ø 90×10. You work according to technical drawings and is responsible for producing high-quality, clean and precise welds that meet the strict standards of the yacht and shipbuilding industry. In addition to welding, the pipe welder has basic knowledge of pipe fitting. This includes aligning pipes, preparing joints, tack welding, and assisting with fit-up to ensure correct positioning before final welding.The role requires experience in aluminium yacht or shipbuilding, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while cooperating closely with fitters and other trades on board.
