Construction Metalworker / Structural Fitter – Makkum Our long-term client is looking for skilled Construction Metalworkers / Structural Fitters to join their Montage Department in Makkum. You will work on high-quality yacht construction projects, carrying out tasks such as fabricating and installing foundations, floors, platforms, drip trays, equipment, pumps, and exhaust systems for engines and generators. The role also includes various welding activities on piping, frames, and structures. Start: 2 positions from week 37, with an additional 3 positions from week 40.Location: Makkum, Netherlands.

As a Cabinet Maker, you are responsible for producing all components of the interiors for luxury yachts. Using digital drawings and technical specifications, you manufacture complex furniture and interior elements. You apply your expertise with woodworking machinery and hand tools to achieve the highest level of craftsmanship. Together with your colleagues, you work to ensure the highest quality standards are met. While you will often focus on one or more fixed construction elements, you will also regularly support your teammates when needed. No two days are the same, and your craftsmanship shines through in finding smart, practical solutions to technical challenges.

Ironwork at the luxury shipbuilding facility, work duties include reading technical drawings, welding, MIG-MAG method, materials vary from steel, stainless steel and aluminium, grinding, polishing and assembly of various metal components into a newly built ship, such as doors, railings, handles, support structures, windows, latches, etc.

The stretcher will carry out work activities within the shipbuilding department. In this department, complex sections are assembled and fitted together to form a complete hull. This work is carried out both on a flat floor and on a slipway.

The key characteristics of the stretching work at Scheepswerf Slob are:

• Relatively thin material, with a maximum thickness of 8–10 mm.

• A high level of accuracy is required. The permitted tolerance is between +2 mm and –4 mm. The maximum deviation over a length of 6 metres is –3 mm.

• Ability to work independently.

• The stretching work must be carried out according to the Dutch-language stretching procedure of Scheepswerf Slob.

• Ability to read and understand the Dutch-language stretching procedure of Scheepswerf Slob and perform the work in accordance with this procedure.

• The stretcher must be able to communicate in Dutch and/or English.

• Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

• Read the Dutch-language stretching procedure of Scheepswerf Slob and carry out the work according to the instructions provided.

For a project in Gouda, we are urgently looking for two independent and experienced Electrical Technicians (ET). This is a long-term assignment with an expected completion date around April/May 2027.

Our client fabricates and exports productionlines for food industry. We are looking for top end welders with high quality and eye for the visual aspect of the weld. Our client offers a perfect job for real professionals because the conditions are optimal in terms of climate, air suction, positioning of the fabricate. 

The candidates we are looking for have additional skills in pipeftting and benchfitting and are able to perform the work from drawiings. 

Duties include MIG/MAG welding with the ability to weld plates and profiles, FW, BW, from 2mm to 25mm thickness, mostly black steel, with the ability to build simple constructions according to technical drawings. The final products are agricultural machinery parts and steel constructions.

Position involves installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and other water distribution and waste disposal systems. This work ensures that plumbing systems are safe, functional, and compliant with all local building codes and legal regulations. Daily tasks include the installation of valves, fittings, and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters in both residential and commercial structures. The role encompasses diagnosing and resolving issues like leaks, clogged drains, and malfunctioning heating systems, as well as interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map out layouts for drainage and piping. In addition to scheduled maintenance, the work often requires responding to plumbing emergencies to prevent property damage.

Fitting and securing support brackets to walls, ceilings, or structures, and then installing pipe systems (such as water, air, or other utility pipes) onto or through those brackets. This includes measuring, aligning, fixing, and connecting pipes according to technical drawings or instructions.

The work takes place in superyacht – challenging and often confined spaces, requiring precision, flexibility, and a strong focus on safety and quality.

You will work with a wide range of piping materials, including black steel and stainless steel, primarily thick-walled systems used in high-performance marine installations. The role involves accurate fitting, alignment, and installation to ensure systems meet strict technical and quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with welders and other skilled trades on board, contributing to a well-coordinated construction process where teamwork and communication are essential to delivering complex projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently install round and rectangular ductwork from technical drawings.
• Align ductwork and hanging systems perfectly straight, level, and parallel.
• Ensure a neat installation, free of scratches, dents, or visible residue.
• Work in accordance with current quality and airtightness standards.

Main duties

• Installation Work: Laying, modifying, and maintaining water, gas, and sewage pipes.

• Sanitary Installations in Industry

• Climate Technology: Installing and maintaining central heating boilers, underfloor heating, and sustainable systems (such as heat pumps and solar water heaters).

• Service & Maintenance: Troubleshooting and fixing leaks, blockages, and system malfunctions.

• Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to determine the layout and placement of the ductwork.

• Fabricating and Assembling: Measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting sheet metal and other materials (like flex pipe) into duct sections.

• Installation: Securing and connecting the finished ductwork and ventilation components (like air handlers, vents, and dampers) on-site.

• Sealing and Inspection: Ensuring all ducts are properly insulated, sealed, and aligned to maintain efficient airflow and comply with building codes and safety standards.

Work with relatively thin steel materials (up to approx. 8–10 mm), requiring high precision and strict adherence to tight tolerances (+2 / –4 mm, with maximum deviation of –3 mm over 6 meters). Perform tack welding in all positions using coated electrode (stick welding). Work independently based on technical drawings and parts lists, identifying and verifying components from pre-assembled kits. Safely operate overhead cranes for lifting and moving materials. Prepare work by reading drawings and documentation to locate and check required components. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment at all times. Communicate effectively in Dutch or English (Dutch preferred). Carry out material handling and transport using cranes when required.

The job involves assembling small steel structures and components that are later used in the mechanical engineering industry (for example parts of lifting equipment, portal systems, etc.).

Work is done on a modular perforated table, where parts are assembled (full preparation) according to technical drawings, followed by welding using MIG-MAG methods.

Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a technically skilled specialist who is able to work with complex 2D and 3D technical drawings and ensure high-precision production.

The position requires in-depth knowledge of metal properties and the ability to independently set up machines, adjust CNC parameters (especially Trumpf NC code), and manage automated loading sequences.

In addition to technical skills in working with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers), we are looking for someone with attention to detail who can maintain a high quality standard (“no further adjustments needed”) and is able to solve minor software or mechanical issues.

The ideal candidate has experience in the mechanical or technical industry, is capable of optimizing cutting plans (nesting), and minimizing material waste.

CNC milling involves Heidenhain programming done directly at the machine at the food factory machinery production facility. Products are steel and stainless steel weldments. Operation, setting and programming of a 5axis milling machine, large scale components up to 3metres in length.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Welding of stainless steel and cunifer parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Performing visual inspections and quality control of welding work.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the progress and quality of projects.
• Maintaining and cleaning welding equipment and tools.
• Contribute to a safe and organized workplace.

• Welding aluminium plates, pipes and profile materials above deck level.

• Tack welding and final welding of platforms, structural parts, and piping, according to technical drawings and welding instructions.

• Ensuring high-quality and visually clean welds that match the premium finish of the yacht.

• All activities must be carried out in accordance with the highest quality standards and norms in yacht construction (e.g., Lloyd’s, DNV, EN ISO 9606-2).

• All welds are visually inspected for appearance, fusion, and porosity.

• Where required, welds are further tested using dye penetrant or X-ray inspection, in accordance with class or client requirements.

• Possible preparatory work, including fitting, tack welding, and aligning aluminium components.

  • Applied welding methods: TIG (for fine and visible welds) and MIG (for longer and thicker welds).

  • Shielding gas: 100% Argon.

  • Filler material: according to the specification of the aluminium alloy used (typically AlMg4.5Mn or AlSi5).
